Bridgestone APM

Montante Construction recently completed a 65,000 square foot manufacturing facility for Bridgestone APM Company, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp., which is the world’s largest manufacturer of tires and rubber products. The $7.6 million facility was constructed in the Town of Wheatfield, where Bridgestone APM Company is projected to create at least 89 new jobs within the next four years.

"Bridgestone APM Company's move to Western New York underscores the state's commitment to the region and its growing manufacturing sector," said New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo. "New York continues to attract private investment from businesses across the globe and we are proud to welcome Bridgestone to the Empire State."

The Montante Construction team was joined by its public sector partners and Bridgestone APM Company executives to celebrate the facility’s unveiling less than a year after breaking ground, slightly ahead of schedule. “We had a really condensed timetable”, Montante Construction President Douglas Elia said. “But everyone pulled together as a team and got the building designed, permitted and constructed within 13 months.”

"Empire State Development, the Buffalo Niagara Enterprise, the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency (NCIDA) and the Town of Wheatfield worked collaboratively with us during every stage of our site selection process. Bridgestone APM Company is on a very tight timeline to construct our facility and begin production. We appreciate all of the hard work from state and local economic development professionals to make this happen.”
